The rooms at Kandy View Garden Hotel are really nice, with great views over the city. They have large windows that let in plenty of natural light. I loved having a seating area, cable TV, and a work desk in my room. As a business traveler, these amenities were highly appreciated.
Personally, I found the private bathrooms with showers a little small. But hey, that might just be me!

The open-air terrace on the 3rd floor is perfect for the hot Kandy weather. The staff go above and beyond, even offering rides to sightseeing spots.
Like Cinderella, the Wi-Fi is not so free after all.

During my recent business trip to Kandy, my director chose the View Garden Hotel for our stay. I must say, the hotel offered several conveniences that enhanced my overall experience. I appreciate the complimentary bottled water provided daily, ensuring I stayed hydrated throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel had modern facilities that made my stay comfortable and convenient.
I did face a minor issue during my stay at View Garden.

The value for money at View Garden was really good, and the room wasnice and neat. The location was peaceful and provided fine views, while the staff treated us with utmost care and hospitality.
The breakfast menu could have offered a wider variety of options.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which was nearby. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the property offered free parking. The outdoor pool was a great feature and the restaurant and coffee shop provided convenient dining options.
The staff was very rude.

We had a wonderful stay at View Garden in Kandy. Upon our arrival, the staff, especially the manager, warmly welcomed us and provided great assistance. They even allowed us to rest in a room while they prepared ours, along with serving us some much-needed coffee. the manager went the extra mile by driving us to Sigiriya the next day, making a stop at a lovely Ayurvedic center. the location was perfect, within walking distance of the town center yet away from the noise and pollution. the highlight was undoubtedly the incredible view from the restaurant, terrace, and our room. the Sri Lankan curry we had for dinner was delicious, and the breakfast, though basic with eggs and toast, fulfilled our needs. Cons: Nothing for me. 😊.
